  • STACIE LEE BANKS

    PRESIDENT & CO-OWNER

    Stacie Lee Banks, President and Co-Owner of Lee’s Flower and Card Shop Inc., coordinates the execution of large events, manages vendor relations, oversees back-of-house operations, and represents the business at a variety of speaking events.

    Banks has worked in the family business in different capacities for over 40 years. In 2012, she became President and oversaw the planning and execution of the ground floor retail renovation in 2016. This was the first large scale renovation in the history of the business.

    Outside of the shop, Banks serves on several boards and commissions and won the 2018 D.C Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year.

    Banks graduated from Howard University with a degree in Business Management. She resides in the District of Columbia with her husband of 20+ years Jeffery Banks, and their daughter Samarah.

  • KRISTIE LEE JONES

    GENERAL MANAGER & CO-OWNER

    Kristie Lee Jones, General Manager & Co-Owner of Lee’s Flower and Card Shop, manages merchandising, floral design, employee training, and building business-community relationships.

    Prior to working at Lee’s Flower and Card Shop, Jones worked at Verizon Communications managing large customer accounts and training staff. Lee joined Lee’s Flower and Card Shop in 2003.

    Jones is passionate about supporting other small and local businesses. In 2019, Kristie was invited to join the Shaw Main Streets Board.She is an alumna of the University of the District of Columbia, lives in DC, and enjoys spending time with husband JuJan, daughter Joi, and son Chase.

  • RICK LEE

    CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

    Richard S. Lee, Chairman of the Board at Lee’s Flower and Card Shop Inc., presides over board meetings and is an advisor to the President and General Manager.

    In the 1980’s Rick took over as President of Lee’s Flower and Card Shop. During his tenure Lee grew the business and navigated through difficulties caused by the construction of the Metro Green Line. Road closures and barricades eliminated foot traffic and a majority of business was done over the phone. In 2012, Lee retired and allowed his daughters Stacie Lee Banks and Kristie Lee Jones to purchase the flower shop from him.

    Lee attended Cortez Peters Business School, Southeastern University, George Washington University, and the American Floral Arts School in Chicago, Illinois. Lee is still very active in the community and enjoys spending time with his three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
